📚 What "granted" really means

Most permissions are granted per-origin, not globally. A grant to example.com does not carry to sub.example.com (with the exception of some sensor permissions). Grants persist until you revoke them through the browser's site-settings UI.

• granted: the site can call the API immediately, no prompt.
• prompt: the site can call the API; the user will be asked the first time.
• denied: explicit refusal. The site cannot ask again until you reset it from site settings.
• unsupported: this browser doesn't expose that permission via navigator.permissions.

🛡️ How to reset a permission

• Chrome / Edge: click the padlock in the address bar → "Site settings".
• Firefox: click the padlock → "Connection secure" → "More information" → "Permissions".
• Safari: Safari menu → Settings → Websites.
